Empower to Lead Award Presented by Mosaic Engagement

Award Description

An annual award of $200 to be given to a graduate of Souris School who demonstrates potential to be a community leader and who identifies as a woman or non-binary.

To Qualify

• A graduating student from Souris School

• Identifies as a woman or non-binary

• Has faced or continually faces adversity or challenges

• Demonstrates leadership qualities or potential to be a leader if given the opportunity

Application

Complete the form provided by your school, which includes your name and contact information.

Provide a video (2 to 5 minutes in length) introducing yourself to cover the following:

• What leadership skills or qualities do you have?

• What leadership skills would you like to develop?

• Who is a female leader in your life that you admire? What do you admire about them?

• What has been the best about your time in high school?

• What would you do if you weren’t afraid?

• If you had unlimited resources, what would be the first thing you’d do to improve or help your community?

Provide a reference letter or video to support the application from a staff member, faculty member, or community member.

The deadline for application submission is June 1 annually
